BOURGOGNE BLANC 100% Chardonnay. The cousin of proprietor Françoise Alperange is a winemaker in Mâcon; this wine was crafted from 30-year-old Chardonnay vines planted in the limestone soils of his estate, with Françoise involved in every step from harvest to vinification. Following alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine was aged for eight months exclusively in seasoned oak barrels. It features soft acidity and rich fruit flavors. While lighter in body than their Pernand-Vergelesses, it possesses a gentle, inviting sweetness that makes it wonderfully approachable and easy to enjoy. Source: Finesse Co., Ltd.
