Based in the village of Morey-Saint-Denis, the estate owns esteemed vineyards in Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-Saint-Denis, and Gevrey-Chambertin, inherited from the Groffier family. Currently managed by fourth-generation winemaker Gérard Peirazeau, who is steadily increasing estate-bottling, this is a highly promising producer. They own 0.2 hectares in Clos Saint-Denis. The grapes are 100% destemmed, fermented in tank, and aged for 15 months in oak barrels (30–40% new oak). On the palate, it reveals the sweet-and-sour notes of cherries and stewed fruit, complemented by *crème de cassis*, cloves, and subtle animal nuances and umami. The structure is multi-layered like a mille-feuille; while possessing profound weight, it never feels overly heavy, remaining precise, seamless, and exceptionally smooth.
