HERMITAGE ROUGE 100% Syrah. The vines reach up to 80 years of age. The wine is an assemblage from six to seven parcels, each contributing distinct characteristics without masking their respective terroirs: 'Péléat' on sandy-clay soils for structural outline; 'Beaume' on *poudingue* (conglomerate) soils for acidity and delicacy; 'Hermite' on small gravel, red clay, and white clay soils for tannin and spice; 'Méal' on stony soils for concentration; 'Bessards' on fine-grained granitic soils for power; and an additional parcel in 'Bessards' contributing minerality. It boasts impeccably clean acidity, a harmonious balance of fruit and tannin, and a spicy profile underscored by profound complexity.
