MORGON <VIEILLES VIGNES> 100% Gamay. The estate owns approximately 3 hectares in a locality called "Les Charmes," situated to the west of the village of Villié-Morgon where the winery is located. The domaine strictly defines old vines as being at least 75 years of age, and many of the Gamay vines in this parcel exceed 100 years. The fruit from these ancient vines naturally yields fewer clusters, which are small in size and bear tiny berries of exceptional concentration. The resulting wine is fruit-forward with vibrant acidity, possessing a delicate and charming character so refined it belies its Gamay origins, and a potential that overturns conventional impressions of Morgon. Moreover, as it matures, it develops an elegance that could easily be mistaken for a Pinot Noir, leading many to discover that even those who dislike Gamay can thoroughly enjoy this wine. Because virtually no sulfur dioxide is added, meticulous transport and handling are essential; as Guy Breton notes, it must be shipped and stored at temperatures no higher than 16 to 17°C. 株式会社フィネス資料
