POMMARD 1ER CRU COMBES DESSUS 100% Pinot Noir. The domaine owns approximately 0.38 hectares situated directly on the Route des Grands Crus, right on the border between Volnay and Pommard. Until the 2009 vintage, this wine was declassified and bottled as a village-level appellation, but as the vines have surpassed 50 years of age and now yield wonderfully concentrated fruit, it is currently released as a Premier Cru. The palate reveals firm tannins reminiscent of ripe grape skins and a powerful, biting freshness of dark fruit, lending a distinctive and unique character among the domaine's predominantly Volnay-based red wines.
