GEWURZTRAMINER BEBLENHEIM (AC ALSACE) 100% Gewurztraminer. The vines were planted in 1956 alongside those of the 'Riesling Beblenheim' and are now approximately 60 years old. The parcel, covering about 1.2 hectares, is situated just below the Grand Cru Sonnenglanz. Its deep clay soils tend to yield beautifully spicy wines. Offering aromas of fragrant osmanthus and lychee, it strikes a wonderful balance between rich fruit and vibrant acidity. It is mineral-rich and has a pleasantly oily texture, yet finishes with a clean, refreshing crispness. This wine pairs beautifully with rich dishes like foie gras or apple-based desserts. (From the archives of Finesse Co., Ltd.) As this is a very old vintage, its color and flavor profile will differ significantly from more recent releases. We kindly ask for your understanding of these mature characteristics before making your purchase.
