BOURGOGNE CHARDONNAY 100% Chardonnay. The vines are situated in the same "Les Petits Près" parcel as the Bourgogne Pinot Noir, covering an area of approximately 0.3 hectares. The vines are roughly 30 years old. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in oak barrels, with no new oak used. It offers abundant fruit character balanced harmoniously with acidity and minerality, crafted for effortless enjoyment. The 2022 growing season was dry and hot from spring, followed by persistent rain-free summer days marked by intense heat. Naturally, the grapes matured rapidly, leading to the harvest commencing on August 23rd—the second earliest on record following 2020. However, much like the warm and dry years of 2019 and 2020, the typical drawbacks of such vintages were absent, resulting in a magnificent achievement. Yields are in line with average years, and the quality of both red and white grapes is utterly faultless, making this a rare and unprecedented vintage. The Chardonnay exhibits a firm structure and vibrant acidity in harmony with rich fruit flavors, allowing it to be enjoyed in its youth while possessing excellent aging potential.
