BOURGOGNE CHARDONNAY SOUS LA VELLE 100% Chardonnay. The grapes are harvested from vines planted in 1973 in the 'Sous La Velle' parcel, which lies adjacent to Meursault Villages. Vinified and aged for 10 months in older oak barrels, the oak influence remains beautifully subtle. This allows the clean acidity, soft mouthfeel, and superb balance to shine, making for a highly approachable wine. As the domaine also owns parcels in the neighboring Meursault Sous La Velle, grapes from those plots are sometimes declassified and blended into this cuvée depending on the vintage.
